Reports - Original Estimates vs. Work Logged

Chris Murphy September 4, 2018

I have the most recent version of Jira Service Desk, and my manager is seeking a way to compare "Original Estimates" vs "Time Spent". Is this possible within Jira Service Desk?

According to https://confluence.atlassian.com/jiracoreserver073/reporting-861257295.html , this already seems to exist, but it isn't present in my install, nor does it really explain how to create those reports if they don't exist.

Hello Chris,

As mentioned in the documentation, can you confirm if the Time Tracking feature has been enabled on your JIRA?

You can follow the instructions of the documentation below to enable time tracking:

Configuring time tracking

Yes it is configured. It seems kind of silly for me to link an article that says how to do that if I haven't done it already.

Hello Chris,

Sorry for my last response, I've not realized that you were using JIRA Service Desk application.

That being said, JIRA Service Desk reports are based on Agent, satisfaction, and SLA statistics, while Time tracking reports are designed for looking at the accuracy of ticket estimates, so Service desk does not have this kind of report.

We have a feature request opened to implement Time tracking reports to Service Desk Application:

As an admin, I want Time Tracking Report to be included into Service Desk Projects

As a workaround, you can use the plugin WorklogPRO.
