Unable to create jira ticket under jira service desk

Arvind Pal February 7, 2021

Hi ,

We are not able to create jira ticket in service desk project. After filling all the details when we are clicking on create option nothing is happening.

Neither jira ticket is getting created nor getting any error message.

When we check atlassian log we can see the following

021-02-05 14:55:56,873+0100 http-nio-8080-exec-122 INFO d.anthony 895x4271573x2 7p9apu 10.240.0.158,127.0.0.1 /servicedesk/customer/p
ortal/35/create/508 [c.a.j.p.assets.impl.AssetStorageManagerImpl] Can't find asset: com.atlassian.servicedesk/banner.json: Path does

when we inspect and open developer, we can see following

@Arvind Pal We got the same error on the data center, we fixed this issue by re-indexing the project.

Pooja

Thanks @Pooja ,

Re-indexing has resolved the issue

Hi @Arvind Pal

such things are really hard to debug from Community end.

Let's try a few things - is this happening after an upgrade or did it occur without having Jira updated? Has there been other updates/restart? Has there been configuration changes lately? As for example to the system/Apps?
Is this true for all browsers - did you test others?

Although there seems to be some kind of integration answering with 404 (not found) but overall all we see is that it only triggers an INFO message in your logs.
Nevertheless, could you please check all integrations are okay?

Can you check if this is caused by any App by disabling them?

Regards,
Daniel

We found that field named as "other" was there in the request type (project setting -->request type) but it was missing from service deskportal. So hide that field from request type as it was not required and which resolve the issue

If you look to the right under Recommendations you will find some potential posts that can detail. Fly AlaskasWorld You can also perform a search on "linking JSD and JSW". Here is one I answered before - JIra-service-desk-and-Jira-Software. here is some documentation that you may find useful - create-a-linked-issue-to-collaborate-with-other-jira-products.
