Send Comment to Distribution List

Hello,
I created an Outlook Exchange distribution list for the purpose of being able to use the address as ‘@' in a ticket comment and have notification e-mails sent to the members included in the DL. To do so, I added it as a user under my project. But e-mails are not being sent. Any ideas on how to achieve this?

If it's not working you could use Jira Automation to create a workaround - 

• Trigger - Comment added to ticket
• Condition could be that it contains that email address or user in the comment
  • Advanced compare condition is the condition to use then the smart value {{comment.body}}
• Action - Fire an email with the comment body 
  • Can use the {{comment.body}} smart value here as well to embed the comment content in the email
