Unable to send notifications to users in user picker field on JSD customer portal.

When a customer raises a request in customer portal he has  to pick a user in user picker custom field to whom  a notification email should be sent on issue creation.

I have also given notification permission for the user picker custom field. But the user is not receiving the email notification(all users are in active directory).

Kindly let me know any solution for this. TIA.

Hi Chethan!

For achieving this, you'll have to:

  • Navigate to the required JSD Project
  • Reach the Notification Scheme configuration page
  • Add a new notification at "Issue Created" event
  • Select "user custom field value" and choose the name of your user picker field from the list. 

Just remember if the user that was selected in the user picker field is part of the same organisation that was selected in the "Share With" field, the user won't receive the notification from the user picker field, just the Organisation notification.

Henrique, where can I find "Share With" field?

 

I have the same problem. I have custom field user picker whom i want to send notifications. In notification scheme added custom field but nobody gets emails.

Hi @AE!

The "Share With" field appears when you're raising a request through the Customer Portal and the Requester is a member of an organization.
