As of June 29th, 2020, Enterprise releases are now called Long Term Support releases. The security bug fix policy for these releases was also updated - we will continue to backport critical security bug fixes and now when architecturally possible, all other security bug fixes are backported to the release for 24 months. To learn more about this change, view our Community post.
Release 3.9 (Nov 2017) was designated as 'Enterprise release' (2 yr support of related bugfixes).
We're planning on kicking off a JSD project soon (on prem), but would like to be on the latest Enterprise release. With Jira 8.0 and JSD 4.0 in the works...any insight on when and what the next Enterprise version may be?
Thank you
Silvia
Hi Silvia,
Teresa here from the Jira Service Desk team.
Happy to report Jira Service Desk 3.16 is our latest Enterprise Release: https://confluence.atlassian.com/servicedesk/jira-service-desk-3-16-x-release-notes-957507088.html. You can read the Jira Service Desk 3.16 Enterprise release change log for a roll-up of changes since 3.9.
Jira Service Desk 4.0 is definitely in the works, and we're evaluating which feature release version in the 4.x series to target for Enterprise Release status. Stay tuned for updates when we have one!
Hey - The good news is that this is definitely one of our priorities right now and we're exploring ways to make this available at the earliest for our Jira Service Desk customers.
Whilst I’d like to give you a clear timeframe for when we can deliver this, unfortunately, I cannot make such indications yet.
Stay tuned and watch (link: https://confluence.atlassian.com/enterprise/atlassian-enterprise-releases-948227420.html) for Enterprise release updates.
Regards
Kausthub
