I am configuring my second Jira Service Desk Project.
I want anyone who emails this service desk to receive a Portal-only account.
I also need to be able to have approvers on my requests.
My problem is that when a customer creates a issue in the portal and clicks the Share button. He/she can search both Project A and Project B. I want anyone to be able to signup to this portal but those who are not customers in this portal should not be visible when sharing requests. How can I configure this to make it work?
Here's some screen shots of my settings:
Hi Simon,
When allowing anyone to open requests on a project and also allowing that your customers can share with any customer or organization, they will be able to literally find any customer on your instance, because the project is open, so customers of other projects will be copied to this project.
For example, you have Project B, C and D and the projects are closed (Customers my team adds to the project) and the project A is open. All customers of project B, C and D will be copied to project A, that's why customers can share tickets with any customer.
I believe that the best option, in this case, is to group all customers of the project A, for example, in an organization.
Then you can change the customers permissions to "Other customers in their organization. If they are not in an organization, they won't find anyone.", it means that customers of the project A will be able only to share with customers that are in the same organization in the project A.
If you have many customers on your project, it will be a little hard-working at first, because you will have to manually add the customers in the organization, and then everytime a new customer is created, you will have to manually add them in the organization as well.
If you want to have an open project, but restrict them to share the ticket with customers from other projects, that's the only solution for now.
Hope this helps.

Angélica
