Under Setting up approvals, Users can pick their managers to approve the ticket, what will happen if they choose themselves as a manager in the user picker and approves it? Does JSD allows users to choose themselves as a manager? 

Is there any way to validates this that, issue raiser cannot choose themselves as a manager?

I haven't tried this but I'm pretty sure if they are in the approval list they can indeed pick themselves. There are no restrictions of comparing requestor to approver.

@Jack Brickey is right. There are no restrictions so you can pick yourself to approve something.
