smtp.office365.com not working

Hi,

I am unable to get smtp.office365.com working and I don't want to use Direct Send option eg contoso-com.mail.protection.outlook.com

I want to be able to use SMTPS with port 587 and TLS.

Is Jira not compatible with this config?

Firewalls are not blocking anything in regards to the above.

I'd appreciate your advise on this.

Thanks so much for your question.

We haven’t been able to reproduce this issue. We’d like to have a few more details about your setup. The first thing we notice is that you’re not using the default port for SMTPS, which is 465, instead, you are using the MSA one (587). While Jira is configurable to any port, we are wondering if Jira is listening to the right protocol. Can you also provide more details of the versions of the software you are using?

One more thing: are you configuring those settings in the outgoing email for Jira? URL would be like https://<PATH TO JIRA>/secure/admin/UpdateSmtpMailServer!default.jspa . Could you please confirm that?
