Ability to show screen when custom field changes (not associated to a transition)

We have a custom field for due date. Whenever that due date changes (after it is originally set), we would like to prompt a "delay reason" screen (which i had set up). I know how to add a screen to a transition, but this is not a transition. This is something for us to capture why someone may have moved a date.

Hello,

The only way is to remove the Due Date from the Edit screen and create a new transition to change the Due Date field. You could add a validator to this transition to check if the "delay reason" field must be set.

You would need the Power Scripts or ScriptRunner add-on for such a validator.
