Hi
I'm completely new to Jira development and I don't know where to start with the task I have. I would like to create an extra page within a project where I can generate a list of some issues with a specific service type.
When I look to the left navigation on the existing Jira I can see an entry called "Add-ons". It has sub levels and when I click on one of these a customized page opens. So I'm wondering, how can I create such a "Add-ons" sub navigation and the corresponding page? I have no clou what I have to search for in the documentation to get a hint.
Could anybody guide me to a usable documentation or a "how to"?
Thanks a lot for your help
Andrea
Hello Andrea,
The add-ons menu that you are talking about only displays the plugins installed in your site to provide any extra functionality to JIRA.
About the page you are trying to add, can you please give us more details about? Should it just display issue information like a documentation page or should it return any specific functionalities? What is your final goal applying this functionality?
If you are only trying to add a documentation page and build some kind of knowledge base, you can try Confluence application:
Now, if you are only trying to filter issues from a specific type in a single view, you can use your project filters to display it:
We will be waiting for your answer to know if this information helps.
Hi Petterson
Thanks for your reply!
The final goal would be to have a page with a list of some Issues of a specific Project and Type. I would like to list for sure its Issue ID, its Title and a few Basic information.
These entries of the list will have an URL that opens the detail of the Service, but not the standard Jira page only a self created page with the most important fields and information of the Service. As of now, I have a routine that creates from each of these Services a json file but that is a manually started process. I put the files to another webserver to work with the information and make it available in the browser.
Regards,
Andrea
