Hi there
I am working with a dashboard with several filters. Each of these filters check for a specific label.
These labels are periodically changing and each time I need to change all the filters.
Is it possible to define something like one-global-parameter, which I could use, i.e. if the label changes that I only need to change this parameter in one place instead of editing all the different filters?
Could not find anything in the FAQs.
Many thanks for your response.
Cheers
Armin
Regaring hosting type: I put "I dont' know", it most probably is "Data Center".
The short answer is no, filters do not have "global variables". The workaround would be to use something like Custom Charts and the simple search gadget which can control other Custom Charts gadgets on the dashboard. There are other apps in the Marketplace that could do this as well.
Thanks for your replay! As written above, I am working name with an extra filter.

Do you mean that you have many filters, and each label is noted once per filter? Or instead perhaps there are many filters, and many reference the same label?
If it is the second case, you could reduce the number of filters requiring updates by chaining them. For example...Let's assume you have these two filters:
An additional filter could be created and saved:
labels IN (Apple)
Let's assume the saved filter id is 12345, leading to changes to the above filters
Now only the saved filter for the label needs to change when the label changes.
Kind regards,
Bill

Hi @Bill Sheboy
It was the second case and this "cascading" filters did the job.
Many thanks for your help/input!
