Hi,

I'm trying to menage some addons and found the following behaviour:

in page of "Manage add-ons", in the list of,

whem I Click in the simbol ">" to expand a specific addon information, the page reloads and I have no acess to plugin information.

This happens for all addons.

At this moment, i Can´t admin add ons: disable, enable, set licences... nothing.

Can someone help?

I have a similar problem when I have active connection to the add on marketplace. When I disable the connection I am allowed to manage add ons. Still frustrating as I have to upgrade add ons manually instead of through the UPM.

It might help here to uninstall your UPM version and update it to the latest version that is compatible with your version of Jira. In your case, I'd recommend trying to use the UPM 2.22.18 version, as this appears to be the most current version that still works with Jira 6.4 versions.

If you can't update it in app with Jira, try these steps

Download the 2.22.18 version from https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/23915/atlassian-universal-plugin-manager/version-history

  1. Stop Jira
  2. Go to your $JIRAHOME/plugins/installed-plugins
  3. Locate the Universal plugin manager .jar file in this folder (if you have never updated this plugin, it's possible you won't find it here. Since Jira ships with a bundled version.  If you can't find it, you can skip the next step.
  4. Remove that .jar file from this location
  5. copy the newly downloaded UPM version to this same folder
  6. Start Jira again

Upgrade UPM to 2.22.18 solved the issue here. Thanks!

Hi Humberto,

Sorry to hear that you are having this problem.  So far I have not been able to recreate this issue.   Could you let me know the following?

  • What version of Jira is this?
  • What browser are you using here?
  • What version of the UPM (Universal plugin manager) are you using with Jira? (you should be able to find this on the Add-ons -> manage addons page at the very bottom)
  • Have you been able to recreate this problem in different browsers? Or when using incognito/private browsing modes?

I am interested to learn more about this problem so that we can help out.   It sounds very strange, as if the in page ajax calls that should populate the plugin data are inadvertently causing the page to reload somehow.  Maybe a browser plugin might be causing unexpected behavior or a plugin to Jira.  It's difficult to tell with what we know so far.

It might help here to uninstall your UPM version and update it to the latest version that is compatible with your version of Jira. In your case, I'd recommend trying to use the UPM 2.20.7 version, as this appears to be the most current version that still works with Jira 6.2.x versions.

If you can't update it in app with Jira, try these steps

Download the 2.20.7 version from https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/23915/atlassian-universal-plugin-manager/version-history

  1. Stop Jira

  5. copy the newly downloaded UPM version to this same folder
  6. Start Jira again
