Hello guys,
How can I allow to use "%" (percentage) in Service-Desk?
Internet tells me nothing about it, I got incorrect value like below:
and I'm stuck a bit.
This rather seems like a workflow validator error (or a behaviour from scriptrunner). I do not recall any problem with % in those fields in my whole career so I'd look into any workflow validators on create as well as any 3rd party apps you may have installed that could implement field input conditions.
@Radek Dostál Thanx for the tip.
I obviously have some 3rd party apps installed, It seems that I may need to dig more into to resolve this issue.
For now I went through a workaround by doing anouncement tab that using "%" may be kinda "problematic".
Interesting thing is that it occurs only in the SD forms.
I've tested it both with version 8.20.6 and 9.1.1 and all of these are affected but in a different ways though:
Will do more searching.

@SEBtheSaviour were you able to find a resolution to this issue? We're experiencing the exact same thing with % and also with the &. We've restarted Jira in safe-mode and the issue persists suggesting it's not caused by an add-on.
The issue occurs across all service desk projects suggesting it's not a workflow validator or behavior issue. That said, we've looked into workflow validators and behaviors and haven't found anything that would cause this.
Appreciate any recommendations.

@Mathew Lederman sorry for late answer.
I've accepted a hint above (caused by a third-party app) but I haven't found the issue.
I think that in order to debug this you may need to set up a whole new JIRA and just add the add-ons one by one.
As - in my case this was not a blocker, I've decided to put a big banner on a Service Desk page with an info: "please use words instead of 'percentage'" and so on :)
I think this issue may be caused by something "from outside", hovever I cannot do a full debug in this case.
