Just a heads up: On March 24, 2025, starting at 4:30pm CDT / 19:30 UTC, the site will be undergoing scheduled maintenance for a few hours. During this time, the site might be unavailable for a short while. Thanks for your patience.
×I am a project admin in Jira, but only of 1 specific project. I do not have the admin cog, and my objective is to be able to mass update tickets with unique data (i.e. give each ticket a unique label.... I know, I know, this is not the best way to categorize this data but it's the way we're categorizing this data).
I will need to update relationships of these tickets within the same project. Do I need escalated user priviledges to do this or will project admin be enough? If so, where should I find the Admin tab to be able to bulk update tickets via .csv?
Hello Lucy,
Indeed, JIRA has a feature that allows you to import issues through CSV for those projects you are added as an Administrator.
You just need to have the Make bulk changes global permission. Please, ask your site admin to provide you with this if you are not able to see the options below:
- Navigate to your issue navigator page > Click on the three dots (...) drop-down > Import Issues from CSV:
- Follow the client to import your CSV file
For more information on how to configure your CSV file, you can check the documentation below:
