Are roll up boards possible with Jira Core?

I'd like to implement boards for my execution teams that contain tasks that roll up to a project view on a program board - implementing a bit of scaled agile in for a non development team. Is this possible or do I need to use Jira Software?

Boards are available only in Jira Core Cloud. Meanwhile, we have a feature request for Server logged here (JRASERVER-45690).
