Assignee list filtered by project

Hi,

Would there be any way to filter the assignee list with only the members of the Viewers' Role (or of any Group) for a given project?

I would like to prevent customers from different projects assigning issues to one another.

If I get you right you want to limit the potential assignees, is that correct? If so you can achieve taht via project permissions:

Look at the "assignable user" persmission:

Yes, you can edit the permission "Assignable User" to only include the role "Viewers" or any group. For this you have to edit the permission scheme of the projects (see https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Managing+Project+Permissions).
