Assignment and Un - assignment according to Status

Hi,

1. I have defined automatic assignee for Component1 (for example: Project leader).

2. I want this automatic assignment would be active only in the transition to Status B, but in other transitions the assignment would be 'unassigned'.

Is possible to do it?

Hi,

Yes it is possible.

Two things:

• Verify if you have "Allow Unassigned Issues" turned ON in JIRA System configuration.
• If its turned on, you can use the post-functions to set the assignee automatically to "Project leader". The post function to use is "Assign to Lead Developer"
• On the transition out of Status B, use post function "Clear Field Value" to clear the assignee.
