Atlassian products server distribution

Jeff Clement March 6, 2014

We currently have Jira, Jira Agile, Stash and Confluence installed on one server. Optimally, how many servers should we be using and how should they be divided up?

Jira Agile is a plugin for Jira so they'd need to together. The rest are a question of size and load on your products. Given a sufficiently large server and with low usage you can probably get away with one server. :) My $0.02 though you'll probably want 6 servers, one active for each and a standby for each one. That way you can minimize the impact of hardware outage etc and the impact from one product on others.

This is just what I was looking for, thanks.
