Auto Generate Sub-Tasks based on field selection

Scott Federman

Can someone show me how I would auto generate a bunch of sub-tasks based on a combination of field selections. (I do have scriptrunner and behaviors)

EX:

  • If Ingestion Method = Data Foundry
  • If Ingestion Type = Initial Training
  • If Ingestion Sub Type = New Source
  • If Data Source = NOT 1SASGRID OR Enterprise Data Lake OR NAS

Create these subtasks.

Hi @Scott Federman

You can take a look at these sample scripts to create sub tasks.

https://library.adaptavist.com/entity/create-a-sub-task-and-link-to-parent-issue-in-jira

https://library.adaptavist.com/entity/create-a-sub-task-when-the-parent-issue-has-a-specific-label

You will have to modify these scripts to suit your requirements. I hope it helps.
