Auto Populate a custom field

Hello Guys,
I am trying to Auto populate a Custom Field using the Script runner plug-in, is it possible? In my case i want the custom field "Fix Version"(used to enter the release date its a drop down field) to auto populate the current version(ABC) when a user moves the ticket from resolved to closed transition. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, you need to use a Script Post Function.
