Automatically create jira tickets for a variety of tasks

Dear all,

I have a variety of tasks I need to weekly or monthly. Is there a way I can set up Jira so every first Monday of April of task is created called "task-name", assigned to me?

You can do it in Jira with addons. Automation for Jira for example. or the scheduler.

If you have an outside scheduling system in place (cron on unix, scheduled tasks in windows, autosys) you can write a script to use the API to create the tickets and schedule it outside of jira.
