As per the help from my last post:
I am trying to setup an auto-editing rule that changes the "priority" field. Let me explain:
I am using the custom fields "Urgency" and "Impact," each with 4 options, to map Priority, in a matrix similar to the one found here:
https://confluence.atlassian.com/servicedeskcloud/calculating-priority-automatically-827107708.html
I have the rules set up for issue creation, but we as a Service Desk want "Impact" and "Urgency" to be editable by our student workers - and so I am attempting to set up an "edit" rule that maps priority in the issue screen through Automation Lite. The rules are working, but they are all firing at the same time! Obviously a user error, I select for example a "2" impact and a "2" urgency and get a notification that it changes. However, by not seeing a level 2 priority, I then I check the Audit Logs and see that each rule activates.
I thought that I was setting up each condition to only activate the rule correctly, but clearly I am not. Please advise! Here are two examples of my rules.
Hello,
If you chose if/else condition, then you should add actions in the + icon, not after all ifs and elses. In your first screenshot you added the Edit issue fields action last, but you should add it to each if or else clause.
Alexey,
Here is what I think you are suggesting:
But upon setting it up like this, I cannot get the rule to actually activate. What do you suggest?

What do you mean you can not activate? Do you mean that the action does not work, because you never enter the condition?

I am changing the impact and urgency fields to the corresponding status described in the rule above but nothing changes, and there is no message that a change has been made.
