Bulk edit custom fields when adding a new project?

Ryan Grimard October 31, 2011

I have about 30 custom fields in my production JIRA system. When I add a new project, I have to configure each custom field to be available for the project. It seems as though there should be a template I could apply to new projects or some sort of bulk edit feature. Am I missing something?

Obviously, adding new projects is not an every day task, so no big deal if this doesn't exist. Just a bit of a pain when it does happen.

Thanks

Ryan

The script runner has a copy project built-in script which can clone an existing project, including its custom field associations etc.

Also IIRC the jira cli can do the same. Not sure.
