CSV Import allows 'Outward' links only

I was trying to create issues via csv import and looking to link them to the tickets that are already available in the project. It looks like the 'link' options on 'Map fields' only allows the outward but not the inward linking. Is there any workaround to be able to link tickets using inward link type?

Thank you for reaching out.

Indeed, Jira only allows the import of outward link descriptions. We understand that the possibility to import inward descriptions would be a useful feature for our customers, so we created the following feature request to get it implemented in Jira Server application:

CSV Importer should allow users to choose to import Issue links as Outward or Inward Description

Feel free to vote and watch the suggestion to increase its priority and also receive notifications about any updates.

For now, you can import inward description links by using the third-party app Easy Links for JIRA, as mentioned in the comment below:
