Hi.
I have installed JIra software on my machine , and want to install jira service desk, can i do it?
because i see when i tried to install jira Service desk, it is going defaultly to jira software location.
is it possible that jira service desk running over jira software.
Thanka
Ok, my apologies, I was not clear.
I think what is confusing you is that there are three installers - Core, Service Desk and Software.
If you run two installers, one after the other, then of course the second one is going to try to install Core in the same place as the first - it's installing the same thing.
So, please, forget the second installer, it's wasting your time. Log into your Jira Core + Software installation, go to Admin -> manage applications and add Service Desk there.

Hi,
Actually what i am looking fort is
When i tried to install service desk, it is trying to install jira SD where Jira software is already installed.
Jira service desk is asking for port no 8080, & this port 8080 is used by jira software.
Thanks
Ameer

The installer for Jira Software installs Jira Core and Jira Software.
The installer for Jira Service Desk installs Jira Core and Jira Service Desk.
You probably do not want to do that. I would guess you really want all three applications in one place. The best way to do that is install Jira Software, and then go to Admin -> Manage Applications and add Service Desk.
