Can i filter actions for watcher ? (example -> i should be notified only if issue gets closed )

For example:: I am watcher for ~1000 Jira issues. I want myself to be notified only if users close their issues. I should not be notified if the user edits or adds comments or any other action.

How can I do this in the watcher feature?

No. The notification scheme controls all notifications. Individual users can't control it.

Sorry but i did not get your point when you say "Individual users can't control it. ".

Do you mean to say 

one will get the notification for all actions (update,close) that happened on an issue and one can not control to notify watcher based on selective action(close) ?
