Can't access project settings

Hello community.

Currently the project admins and jira admins can't access the project settings section.

Does anybody have an idea of what could be causing this?

Hey @Marynel

I would take a look at the permission scheme the project is using and see who is granted access to the Administer Projects permission. If they have not been granted that permission they will not be able to access the settings for the project.

As long as the project role "administrators" have that permission, they will be able to view the project and its settings. Jira admins should be able to access the project settings as long as they are in one of the groups under the "Browse Projects" permission.

Hi Cody

Neither the project admin or jira-admin with proper permissions couldn't access the project setting section. It got "solved on its own" actually after a few hours but we were not cable to identified the root cause.

That's interesting.

Just an FYI, as a Jira Admin, you don't need to be able to access the project settings to view the scheme. Jira Admins have access to all the permission schemes used in the instance. A quick shortcut to get there is by typing "." or "gg" to have a search pop up on any screen. If you search permissions schemes it will take you right there and you can view any scheme.

Anyway, I am glad its fixed!

Hi Cody

Yes, we often use this shortcut.

Thanks for your tips!
