Can we prompt user to select a linked issue when they transition issue into dev?

Shawn Wallack June 13, 2017

We have a custom issue type called "Charter" within a JIRA project called "Charters." For example "CH-99 is the "New Widget Charter."

We have many other JIRA projects (e.g., the "SF" project for Salesforce work). These projects contain issues and subtasks that we want to link to charters using a custom link type.

The custom link type is called "scope" (i.e., inward/outward "is scope within" or "contains the scope"). For example, CH-99 "contains the scope" SF-22 and SF-23 (and SF-22 and SF-23 "are scope within" CH-99).

My question is: How can we prompt the user to select a charter (issue picker) when they transition an issue into development?
