Can you add custom issue types or change the name of issue types in Jira Server?

I want to use custom issue types for a specific project, and I keep finding articles about Jira Cloud saying that you can go to Administration > Issues > Issue Types and configure them there. But I'm seeing nothing about whether or not this is possible in Jira Server. I don't see the Issue Types option, so I'm thinking it's not possible, but does anyone know of a way to do this?

Hi Alexis,

Yes you definitely can add Issue Types, but you will need to be an Administrator. Here are the directions for server https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/defining-issue-type-field-values-938847087.html
