Clone issue without copying contributors

Sam Talkers April 11, 2018

I want to replicate the activity of a template by using the clone feature. I found that it copies over contributors and assignees as well. Any way to override this or change the behavior?

Hi Sam!

Unfortunately it is not possible in JIRA out of the box to clone an issue and not copy the contributors/assignee/etc.  However there is an add-on that should help you with this.  Please check out Clone Plus for JIRA.  As it seems to be able to do exactly what you're wanting to do.

As this is only available for Server, if you're on a Cloud instance there are a few options as well in our Marketplace.

Hope this helps Sam!
