Hi, @Reza Seedin

Comment preview in the new JIRA issue view is no longer available since the new editor utilizes the WYSIWG (what you see is what you get) system and it renders the text formatting directly as you can see here:

May I know if you have any feedbacks on this new feature nevertheless? How does it work on your end so far?

Hi @AhmadDanial,

Yes, I agree the test formatting works nicely but image previews do not and are not clickable to preview to check if its the correct Image.

It was a handy feature to have.

Thanks for clarifying it

Reza

Hello, @Reza Seedin

You are most welcome. I do agree that having an attachment preview prior to saving the comment will be helpful to ensure that the right file is in place. As of now, there is no feature available to do so as the only renders the uploaded content like this:

@AhmadDanial Agreed. I was attaching a large screenshot with code but it was showing very small preview. Can I request something in the lines of a preview for images be added in the future?

Hi, @Reza Seedin

My apologies for the delayed response as I was out of office for a couple of days. Sure thing. You can definitely do that by raising a feature request in our Bug & Suggestion Tracker for visibility as well as to allow other users to vote on the request too.

I will be more than happy to help you raise one if you prefer nevertheless. Let me know which one works for you best. Thanks!

Hey guys,

So if I want to add a comment with a specific style such as the image below Screen Shot 2019-06-15 at 12.23.51 PM.png how can I define a custom background or style for my comment.

Thanks in advance

Tucker

Can this be undone?  The new behavior is abysmal.  If I change my mind about something or JIRA makes a bad guess, I have to fumble around with the editing bar at the top and try and find the correct option to make it right.  This exact change was the catalyst for a previous company dropping Confluence and the exact issue why two other companies I've worked with (and one I advise) to not use Confluence at all.  If this can't be configured, I'll be advising my orgs to migrate to away from Atlassian entirely.  Changes like this increase the amount of time people like me have to spend trying to write well formatted documents.

Missing preview button makes advanced formatting very hard to use, as WYSIWG is very limited. This is pretty significant regression e.g. when using markdown.
