Confluence User Profile pic update appears in another user's Jira activity feed

I have a user reporting a concern that a person not on their team has access to their project after seeing something in their Jira activity feed. After looking into it, I can see a person update their profile pic in Confluence, and that update appeared in another user's Jira activity feed.

Can I turn off profile pic updates from appearing in the feed?
