Confluence page gadget error?

We have upgraded our JIRA and Confluence versions and are now getting the following error?

Error loading gadget from http://confluence.myCompany.net:8090/rest/gadgets/1.0/g/com.atlassian.confluence.plugins.gadgets:confluence-page-gadget/gadgets/confluence-page-gadget.xml:org.apache.shindig.gadgets.GadgetException: Unable to retrieve gadget xml. HTTP error 504

JIRA upgraded from 5.2.1 to 6.2

Confluence upgraded from 4.2.1 to 5.4

Have tried to reload the gadget on JIRA using the add gadget with the xml url, but does not seem to work.

Please assist?

Hey Warren,

By taking a look at the stack trace and also the applications version, looks like that you are running into one of our known bugs. You might been interested to take a look at the following article, which haves more information about it:

Get Exception Unable to retrieve gadget xml. HTTP error 504

As we can see, upgrading to latest versions of JIRA should fix this behaviour, but we aslo have a temporally workaround which would be:

Please try the following steps and see you able to get any results:

• Go to JIRA instance serving gadget specification
• Go to "General Configuration"
• Turn off "Use gzip compression" setting
• Refresh both instance web browser and add the confluence gadgets to JIRA again.

Hi, In what version of JIRA is the fixed in?

If turning ON/OFF gzip compression does nothing are there any other work arounds?

Just trying to add Confluence page gadget to the JIRA Gadget directory gives my a could not parse error?
