Hi there,
We are currently working on a project with a large client that has 4 JIRA instances and we want to consolidate bug tracking across the various instances for a particular project. I do not know if it is server or cloud.
I have found the following article:
From what I understand is that the best that can be done is to link the various instances (if not already done) and then create one dashboard to view the various bugs raised in the various instance projects.
The only other alternative seems to be to use a 3rd party to integrate the various instances such as exalate?:
https://exalate.com/blog/jira-to-jira-integration/
Am I missing something- is there another better way to solve their problem?
Also, can you recommend JIRA admin training that is specific to solving these kind of issues please?
Thanks
Joey
Hi @joey
It depends how you want to visualise this data - and what license/hosting type your customer has.
For example...
There are also Apps on the Marketplace that can help here, for example...

I'm assuming you can't merge the 4 instances together?

Hi @joey ,
This is Dhiren from the Exalate Team.
The best thing to do here could be to use a dedicated issue sync solution like Exalate.
Exalate works on a decentralized architecture and offers you a completely bi-directional sync and the best part is that you can connect all 4 Jira instances for a robust end-to-end integration.
You can track your bugs from any instance including any field that you map (system fields + any custom fields can be synced)
Do let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks, Dhiren
