Create Service Desk Ticket from E-Mail

Michael Schmid March 30, 2016

Hey Guys,

I like to create a service desk ticket when I send a E-Mail to my customer.

Example:

From: Me@my-company.com

To: mike@cool-customer.com

CC: support@our-servicedesk.com

What I want now is that there will be a new service desk ticket with the author "mike@cool-customer.com". Is this possible?

I suppose the problem is that Michael wants to have mike@... as the reporter of the new ticket. JIRA Service Desk will set the sender as the reporter.

I think it may need some tweaks or a custom handler or an addon.

Michael,

Can you please confirm my assumption or explain your intention in more details?

Do you also want to create mike@cool-customer.com as a new customer account in JIRA Service Desk?

Tibor
