Is it not possible to create linked tasks in software projects? I can only create subtasks there. In Service Desk projects it is possible to create a linked task from a task. Is it possible to configure this?

No is not possible to create the linked task directly from the task but you need to create the new task and after that you can linked it.
Or you can link the "parent" task during the creation of the new task.
