Creating sub-tasks ability not visible

Dear members,

We seem to have done something to mess up the ability for us to create sub-tasks for any of our projects.  Some PM's were able to create them but at this point we are not able.

We are using the Jira core Cloud with Bigpicture, Hawk budget, easy BI and Slack integration.

When i click on the + on the left side, i only get the "task" option.  I get the message under the field too, "Some issue types are unavailable due to incompatible field configuration and/or workflow associations."

As mentioned before we were able to do it previously.  I have modified the workflow back to default and also ensured "sub-tasks" are "enabled" in all projects.  I am signed in as the admin so it is not a permissions concern.

I'm at a complete loss as to where else to look.

Have you maybe changed the IssueType scheme by chance and removed the Sub-task issue type?

Thanks for the quick reply Brittany.  The Issuetype was fine too.  Actually it was user error :)

Apparently from the boards tab, if you create an issue or click on the options within an issue, the option to create a subtask is not visible.

However, if within the issues tab, we click on the issue and then options, the create sub-task option is visible within.
