Custom field's JavaScript will not load if I 'Create Issue' in another Project

I'm using JavaScript to create a custom table field, which I eventually turn into wikimarkup and store in the multiline text field. If I create an issue and my project's already selected, it works. If I create an issue while my project's already selected, choose another project in the issue creator and then return to my project, it works -- but required some finagling. But, when I create a project and my project is not selected, it won't load at all. I've got buttons testing functions and it's completely dead.

Any ideas?
