Custom field with radio buttons doesn't display until edited

D Hicks June 9, 2023

We have a custom field called "Online Help". It is not required, nor can it be.

It has the radio button options of: None, Yes, No. The default is None.

The field does not display until you click Edit and change the value. Then you can view and edit in the form without clicking Edit.

Is there a way to get it to display in the form without clicking the Edit button?

You would need to set a default option on the field so that there is data to show on the view issue screen. Without any data the field will not show up. There might be an app in the marketplace, but I haven't looked.

Thanks, I will have the admin set the default to No. It may take a while but I will let you know if it works.

It works for new tickets. For the old tickets we had to do a batch update.
