Data Migration from Jira Standalone to OnDemand.

Anirudh Koutha July 31, 2013

Hi,

If I import XML backup (including user data) into OnDemand, would I need to do explicit user/group import? - We have LDAP configured for our Standalone and I understand that Ondemand doesn't support LDAP. So, how would the authentication work with the data that already exist in CWD_user data as I feel the LDAP configuration details will be purged import?

Thanks.

Anirudh, you don't need to export/import them separately. There is KB which I believe will help you get this sorted out, just note that the doc says "Crowd Server", however the resolution is pretty much the same, but for LDAP instead - Importing from Local JIRA to JIRA OnDemand throws Unsupported Crowd Directory Error.
