DeActivated User

Does a deactivated user's comments disappear from a jira issue?  I know that one of my guys, who isn't with me any more commented on an issue.

When I now search for key words, it looks like the issue is returned in the searchh but the comments are no longer available.

I'm really hoping that this isn't the case and I'm a knob.

Cheers

If a user comments on a Jira issue and they are deactivated the comments still reside on the issue.  The only way that they would not show up is if they are deleted.  Even then you should be able to look at the full history on the issue and see the information.

Thanks Brant.

I don't know what's happened to our issues then.  We've had a very active user leave recently and I was searching for a specific issue I knew he'd worked and commented on but I couldn't find  anything.

I'll look around and let you know if I think this is an issue.  Though if it was, then I'd have thought there'd be a few disgruntled people around.
