Dependencies in JIRA Portfolio

Noam Guttman

Hi,

I'm looking for documentation explaining how the dependencies in portfolio work -

  • Difference between "depends on" and "is depended on by"?
  • What does "Blocks" dependency mean?

Best,

 -Noam

@Noam Guttman you will see two signts

+: if you use this  , it means the current issue which you selected have blocker to another issue which you will select .

- : if you use this it means , the current issue is being blocked by another issue.

For example

You selected issue-1

if you click on + and add issue -2 it means issue-2 is blocked by issue-1

If you click on - and add issue-3 , it means issue-13 is blocked by issue-1

Hopefully its clear now.
