Disable a field while creating ticket - To stop reporter from entering a value in the field

Hi, We have tickets raised by partners on our board. They add the root cause on the root cause field (which is something we would do after resolving the ticket). Is there a way to disable the field for reporters ?

build a Create screen and only put the fields you want entered at creation time on it.
