Does the project type selected at the start of creating a new project constrain?

If I start a Project with say Software development type, and then realise it needs, say, Agile Scrum, can these be achieved or does the template have to be correct at the start?

The template is just a way of pre-selecting some schemes. You can always change them later. So, yes. You can change it but you will have to change the individual schemes.
