Editing/Changing Font color, strikethrough, etc in acceptance criteria takes longer time

Is there a fix for the ability to perform any of the features (font color change, strikethrough, etc) in the various text boxes (acceptance criteria, description, etc). When we try to change the text font/colour in Acceptance criteria (By Editing Acceptance criteria alone , not by Editing the Story)  It sometimes takes me 5 minutes to change a line of text. This issue occurs only when editing acceptance criteria or Description without editing the Story in Jira.
