Editing Property Files

Hello,

I have found many things that need to be changed in the jira-config.properties file, for example the timeout on the administration pages & changing names of standard fields. This is my second time administering JIRA, and I am very comfortable with administration within JIRA, but I have never worked with the property files. Is this something difficult to do, or could I easily learn how to do it? I would like to learn how, but wasn't sure if it would be better left to the IT guy who does the server administration (although he's never worked with JIRA before).

Just edit it with funny.

Please only change the string followed by equal mark ('='), and do not change the charactors before equal mark, everything will be fine as before.
