I am encountering an issue where I am unable to create an issue from email using custom issue types and workflows. When the projects screens/workflows/issue types are the default system settings, I'm able to create the issue in the appropriate project. Whenever I try to set up mail handlers, contexts, etc to recognize the custom fields and custom issue types, the issue does not create, or shows an error when one of the custom fields is required.
Any insight as to how i can get around this issue is greatly appreciated. I'm using Jira Server, and have the Email this Issue add-on

Have you checked permissions?
And better way for this situation to raise issue directly to app vendor,
