Epic Report - reducing the list of available epics

Hi  I have now a very long list of Epics, and when i look at the Epic report its almost impossible to find the epic of interest. 

The Epic list is firstly not sorted alphabetically in the way that it is displayed - it appears to be random.

It also includes Done epics ( i can see why you might also want these).

 

So how can I make epic reports easier to use, or how can i launch the report view from the epic itself?

(We are on version 7.3)
