Extend period for verifying first notification email

Hello to all,

when new user is created, notification mail is sent to him or her. Link is valid for 24 hours. Is there any possiblitity to extend period from 24 hours to several days? Some our users are not ready to answer the mail in time after getting a new job in our company. Our JIRA user account manager would prefer notification e-mails to be valid for 7 days. Is there any possibility to change the period?

It is not possible in JIRA. But if you want it, you can vote in JIRA bugtracker https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-37072
