Extract from Jira database/UI to help understand the flow

Packialakshmi Subramanian May 5, 2020

Hi ,

As a jira admin, I would like to extract from Jira database/UI to help understand following jira data.

  • In the extract please provide Project Name and Project Key fields along with other relevant fields.
  • Active Vs Inactive Projects (assuming we have inactive)
  • Mapping of Schemes to Projects
  • Mapping of Schemes to Workflows
  • Mapping of Workflows to Issue Types

Can anyone suggest me the best way of getting the above JIRA data.

Thanks,

Lakshmi

Use the UI, the database is the worst possible way to work out how a Jira is configured.  It's simply not built for reporting on even issues, let alone config.  It's going to take you days to work out queries for all of these and the raw data will mostly leave you completely uninformed and you'll end up simply going back in as an admin and looking at it.

As a Jira admin, your understanding of Jira data is best done by looking at it in the Admin screens.
